Using a face cloth to remove your cleanser, in small circular movements, provides a small amount of exfoliation each day, which helps stabilise problem skin.
3. BE RELIGIOUS WITH YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE
2x daily! Your skin constantly produces excess oil and dead skin cells that need to be gently cleansed from your skin morning and night to prevent pimples from forming. Even if you haven’t worn makeup during the day it is still important to do your real-u 3-Step Program each night to remove pollution, dust and other impurities. 2x daily gives your skin the best chance to clear, heal and repair.
4. DO YOUR 3-STEPS AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME
So your skin can enjoy all the real-u skin-loving goodness way before bedtime.
5. YOU'VE GOT 3 MINUTES
If you wait longer than 3 mins to hydrate after cleansing, you run the risk of your oil glands over-compensating and producing excess oil. If you're a real-u Beauty that cleanses in the shower (like me), cleanse just before you hop out so you can hydrate your skin quicker.
6. CLEAR SKIN SLEEPS ON CLEAN PILLOW CASES
Bacteria and excess oils from your skin are transferred onto your pillow case as you sleep. Flip your pillow case each night and change it every second night.
7. TRY NOT TO TOUCH YOUR FACEInvisible bacteria that lives on your fingers can contribute to breakouts. Think of how many times during the day or night you touch your skin.
To avoid the spread of bacteria onto your face, clean your phone with an antibacterial wipe at least once a week.
9. NO PICKING // NO POPPING
Yes that’s right Beauty, take one step back from the mirror and walk away!!! Picking and popping is the major cause of scarring. Your pimples are trying their best to heal. When you disturb the new healing skin cells you’re potentially causing lifelong scars.
10. KEEP YOUR HAIR FRESH AND OFF YOUR FACE
Keep your hair clean and off your face as much as possible when dealing with breakout prone skin, as the specific bacteria (p acne) that contributes to breakouts lives in our hair follicles.
11. AVOID PIMPLE CAUSING MAKEUP PRIMERS
Primers are a silicon based product designed to fill your pores by leaving a weightless film on your skin. This spells trouble for problem skin as it also drives pimple causing dirt and bacteria deeper into your pores.
12. WASH OFF SUNSCREEN WHEN YOU COME IN FROM THE SUN
Your skin only needs sunscreen while you're exposed to the suns UV rays. Refresh your skin as soon as you come in from the sun as some sunscreens can be a trigger for breakouts.
13. SUGARY, FATTY AND DAIRY FOODS CAN TURN ON YOUR PIMPLE CAUSING HORMONES
Sugar and dairy can stimulate 3 things in your skin:
1. Excess oil production caused by a temporary spike in your hormones.
2. Excess skin cell production
3. Inflammation
A combination of increased oil and dead skin cells, together with inflammation is the ideal recipe for pimples. Try to find what triggers your skin and avoid it.
14. DE-STRESS FOR YOUR SKIN! YOU STAYING CALM, HELPS YOUR SKIN TO STAY CALM
When you’re stressed your body can react by creating a spike in hormones, which can trigger breakouts. Stress also affects your immune system, decreasing your skin’s ability to heal and repair. It’s not uncommon for stress to trigger an “itch” feeling, which often drives us to touch our face more.

HOW TO USE OUR 3-STEPS
STEP 1: CLEANSE
Our CLEANSE Gentle Foaming Wash is the perfect way to effectively cleanse and refresh problem skin without dehydrating and removing all the skin’s natural oils.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Take a pea-sized amount of CLEANSE Gentle Foaming Wash and add water to create a light foam.
Using gentle, circular motions, massage the product all over the skin – don’t forget your hairline and your neck.
Remove with a clean, damp face cloth using circular motions that simultaneously help exfoliate the skin. Remember to rinse your face cloth prior to use to get rid of any lingering laundry detergents.
If you are wearing makeup, cleanse twice – once for your makeup and once for your skin.
STEP 2: CONTROL
Our CONTROL Acne Serum is our HERO product for clearing and controlling breakouts.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Take a pea-sized amount of CONTROL Acne Serum and gently massage into your fingertips to warm.
Massage the product into the skin avoiding the eye area.
Pat product into the skin to make sure it is absorbed properly then leave it on the skin to work its magic!
STEP 3: HYDRATE
Hydrating your skin actually helps to calm oil glands, making our HYDRATE Lite Moisturiser a really important step in the process of clearing and preventing breakouts.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Take a pea-sized amount of HYDRATE Lite Moisturiser and gently massage into your fingertips to warm.
Massage the product into the skin avoiding the eye area.
Pat product into the skin to make sure it is absorbed properly and voila!
